About the event
Community Responses to Domestic Violence
We all have a role in responding to violence in our communities. This two-part training is designed to support community members in building skills to better understand intimate partner violence (IPV) and explore the possibilities of community-based responses to violence. We will discuss how communities can support people surviving abuse, people being abusive and the people who love them.
Part One on April 1st, of this two-part virtual workshop series will focus on transformative justice and deepen our understanding of intimate partner violence.
Part Two on April 8th, of this two-part virtual workshop series will focus on how we as a community and providers can support folks experiencing IPV with creating safety and exit plans, building and connecting folks to resources, and how we can work together to keep people and families safe.
SO PLEASE MAKE SURE TO REGISTER FOR BOTH SESSIONS!
