I deeply believe that every person has a right to emotional, physical and psychological support from a doula. Your financial circumstances should not hinder this. If the cost of my support services is a barrier, connect with me so we can discuss building a payment plan, creating a package that works with your budget, organizing gifted (aka pro bono) support for you, or finding other resources that are accessible to you.

How does a Doula fit into your journey?

Virtual introductory 30 minute meeting/interview over Zoom is a chance to get to know one another, and is free of charge. It gives you a chance to ask me any questions that you may have about me and my practice to ensure that I'm the right doula to support you through your journey.

CHILDBIRTH + NEWBORN CARE EDUCATION

My goals for this Childbirth + Newborn Care Edu is simple and complex. I want you to have the confidence in yourself, and to trust in your body and self. I want you to feel empowered and feel educated. This session is going to focus on labor, birth, and the 4th trimester.

The curriculum is personalized and individualized to your journey. There are basics that are covered. However, I believe that every Black and Brown pregnant person, LGBTQIA2S+ person, fat people and larger bodies, and those with disabilities should be represented in the curriculum that will support their birth and parenting decisions.

Childbirth + Newborn Care Edu Session includes:

  • Evidenced-based information and best practice that is based on the most current material available.
  • Providing you with information about the anatomy and physiology of childbirth.
  • Demonstrating various laboring and birth positions.
  • Sharing information to help you make informed decisions about your birth plan.
  • Provide information about the Golden Hour (first feed information, and initial postpartum care for you and baby).
  • 4th Trimester Planning and Newborn Care
  • Encouraging you to ask any questions you may have to ensure you are left feeling prepared to create your birth plan and trusting in your body to bring your little earth side.
  • Birth Plan and Postpartum Plan templates.
